Kim lost 31 pounds and no longer has to wear her husband's larger size clothes
I discovered Dr. Fuhrman's research when watching the documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. I immediately bought Eat To Live and felt reborn. I needed to do this. The biggest change was how my energy revived even before I lost much weight. This motivated me to continue.
I have been a vegetarian for years, but hadn't realized how poor my diet had become. Even though I did not eat meat, I did consume a large amount of dairy, white flour products and highly processed foods. It had gotten to the stage in my life where I no longer could control my weight by conventional means (such as Weight Watchers) as I had been able to in the past.
When I weighed 165 pounds and no longer could fit into my own "fat" clothes, I began to wear my husband's clothes. But even his clothes were tight and uncomfortable. In addition to weight gain and loss of energy, I became chronically depressed and was treated for high blood pressure, kidney stones and finally ulcerative colitis.
Now, almost six month later, on Eat To Live, I am a slim 132 pounds and have no food cravings. For the first time in my life, I realize how interconnected health and nutrition really are and how much I want to live my life fully and energetically.
