Julie lost 85 pounds and went from being hopeless to happy
I weighed 230 pounds when I watched the documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. I then went on a two month juice reboot and lost 27 pounds. During that time, I started searching for a healthy way to continue my journey once I started eating solid food again. I found Eat To Live, Eat For Health and Disease-Proof your Child. Dr. Fuhrman's books really resonated with me and I loved the fact that he didn't sugar coat the truth. I no longer fear being protein deficient. I had been a vegetarian for seven years, eating the occasional fish and shrimp because I believed it was necessary. I was totally addicted to cheese and had no idea how terrible it is for me, and I had been taught that olive oil is good for me. I was depressed, chronically fatigued, and felt totally hopeless.
I love Dr. Fuhrman's phrase Nutritarian and that's how I live my life now. I've lost over 58 pounds now on the Eat To Live lifestyle for a total weight loss of 85 pounds. I no longer take depression medication and feel great! I love eating this way. I get a lot of questions on how I've lost weight and tell anyone that's open to listening about Eat To Live. Despite the embarrassment of how heavy I was to begin with, I believe it's worth sharing my story if I can inspire even one person to make the change. I know and hope that sharing my knowledge will help countless others that I don't know.
