I have struggled with dropping 10 pounds, increasing my mood and ending anxiety. The Nutritarian diet has helped me reach what I like to call "next level health.” Growing up, I was fortunate to be raised with an awareness of the importance of consuming fresh fruits and vegetables. I always had a home cooked meal that included a salad at dinner and at least one vegetable. However, even though I wasn't raised on the Standard American Diet (SAD), I still struggled with low mood, anxiety, losing the "last 10l pounds" as well as food cravings. After listening to Dr. Fuhrman, what I realized is that although I ate pretty well, the actual amount of fruits and veggies as well as the variety was actually not as great as I thought. Additionally, I rarely ate beans, mushrooms, nuts and seeds which I now understand are cornerstones of a healthy diet.
I can now say that although I'm definitely not a perfect Nutritarian, I have dramatically increased my health, mood, anxiety and my concentration has improved greatly. My cravings for unhealthy foods have been completely quashed to which I can only conclude that my body is receiving all of the vital nutrients it needs. Additionally, my energy is higher than I ever thought possible and my skin is radiant. I'm often mistaken for ten years younger than my actual age! And I lost the 10 pounds.
Additionally, cancer runs high in my family and I used to be afraid of it, looking at it as though it's something that randomly happens to you as a result of genetics. However, because of Dr. Fuhrman, I now understand how to protect myself and my family and I have gone from a feeling of helplessness and fear to one of empowerment.
Lastly, I bought the book Disease Proof Your Child by Dr. Fuhrman, and I regularly read exerts from it as a bedtime story to my daughter. Particularly, she loves to hear the stories and personal antidotes from actual patients of Dr. Fuhrman and how they overcame chronic illness. Although reading this book as a bedtime story may seem a little intense to some, I can think of no other way for my child to drift off to sleep than inspirational stories and thoughts of health and wellness!
I want to thank D Fuhrman for his tireless efforts and for following the path God laid before him. I also want to tell everyone that the Nutritarian diet is not only great for overcoming chronic diseases, but also for achieving "next level health". No matter where you are on your journey, the Nutritarian diet will change your life.
