Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Results may vary.
Elsie tried many diets, but always gained back the weight; now lost 58 pounds after joining the Weight Loss Detox and Optional Weight Loss Challenge in May 2021 and the Combat Disease Boot Camp in June 2021.
I first learned about Dr. Fuhrman after seeing him on PBS over 10 years ago. His whole presentation just made so much sense that I went right out and bought Eat to Live I have since bought many of his books and watch his talks on YouTube at least weekly.
Fast forward to March 2021 when I seriously started doing the Nutritarian diet at 100 percent. At first, I signed up to Dr. Fuhrman's website, then I signed up for the Weight Loss Detox and Optional Weight Loss Challenge in May 2021 and I also signed up for the Combat Disease Boot Camp in June 2021. For me, the first several months were the hardest with the cravings, brain fog and detox symptoms, but now I feel really good. I will always eat this way. Dr. Fuhrman's way of eating must be the best way to lose weight and regain your health.
I had been diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis several years prior and had recently found out I had high blood pressure. I decided to take the Nutritarian diet seriously to regain my health. Within three weeks my blood pressure dropped to normal range. At my first six month check up with my gynecologist I was told to keep doing what I was doing because everything looked good and I only had one small white spot left, which was getting smaller. This was the most encouraging news I had ever heard about this condition, and it was music to my ears. My GERD was also gone.
I have tried many diets before finally committing to being a Nutritarian which includes Weight Watchers, Keto, Simply for Life, low fat diets and the Mediterranean diet as well as just trying to cut back on calories. I would initially lose some weight on these diets, but I could never sustain anything and the weight would always go back on, and then some. Now I have lost 58 pounds.
My advice to anyone who is beginning a Nutritarian lifestyle is to just take it one day at a time and keep in mind why you started this in the first place. It gets easier as days go on and eventually you will prefer to eat Nutritarian.
