Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Carolyn thought the scale was wrong when it showed she lost 27 pounds in three weeks
I have four different heart conditions along with pulmonary hypertension. The scariest of which is pulmonary hypertension as I often have great difficulty breathing. Upon going to my pulmonary doctor, I was strongly (once again) advised to lose weight and I would "feel better." Oftentimes patients get tired of hearing this from overweight doctors, or at least that was my reaction. They walk away saying "yeah yeah, I get it."
But this time was different. One day while cleaning out a storage bin I found the whole "3 Steps to Incredible Health" series. I now consider this find a miracle! Didn't even remember ordering it but I had been thinking about losing weight for a long time. I started reading and watching the 6 DVD set. The result, I lost 27 pounds in three weeks. Subsequently, I went to my primary care doctor because I thought my scale was wacky or I was sick, even though I felt great. He was so happy to see the loss and I was glad it was a positive step towards health. That was last year. I've kept off the weight. My blood pressure is good, AFIB held at bay, CHF held at bay and feel much better.
