Victor's friends are amazed by his 40 pound weight loss
I weighed 224 pounds. My wife saw Dr. Fuhrman on the Dr. Oz show and bought his book. She told me that if we followed the book, in one week we could lose 10 pounds. I said, "put my name down for that one." She followed the recipes in the book and sure enough we both lost 10 pounds. At the end of the week we decided to continue with the program and I lost a total of 40 pounds.
On a recent trip back to our old country (England) it was great to go shopping and buy cool new clothes. Our diet at this stage transcended from a weight loss diet into a lifestyle change for both of us. Our eating habits have changed forever following the principles outlined in Dr. Fuhrman's book, about the 10 percent 90 percent rule about what's on your plate.
In August of 2012, after the obesity problem was solved, I decided that it was time to tackle my smoking issue .I started smoking as a very young child in London UK mainly through peer pressure. I set my quit smoking day for Labor Day 2012, which was eight months ago. I am now in my ninth month as a nonsmoker.
My wife and I believe in the healthy eating lifestyle change so much we have bought Dr. Fuhrman's book for several of our friends who we thought might benefit from it. It was amazing meeting old friends who we had not seen for several months. They all thought we must be on some kind of special treatment or drug. We took great delight in explaining the simple eating habit change and giving them a copy of the book. It still amazes us that peoples' natural motivation in the subject of weight loss is to look for something that is technical, scientific, complicated and expensive. Cabbage, carrots, kale and salad are none of these things. Thanks Dr. Fuhrman.
