Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Sonia's pain from multiple ailments is so much better she says it is a blessing
I started Eat To Live to make me feel better and help with pain. I am on methadone, and muscle relaxers. I had three cervical fusions in 2006 with severe osteoporosis, my neck collapsed and I had a halo for five months, also spinal cord damage, right thalamic pain syndrome, and cyclic vomiting syndrome. Within two weeks of starting the diet I was off laxatives and stool softeners. My pain, the achy type is pretty much down and have cut my breakthrough meds in half in less than a month. I generally feel better all over, which is a blessing!
Both my husband and I are eating the Fuhrman way. He says he feels left out if he doesn't get a Fuhrman meal. We have the daily list that Dr. Fuhrman recommends on the frig and use it every day although I know it by heart. We have a cabinet full of nuts, raisins, currants, and dates. My husband demands his kale and having a big salad every night. He loves the Dijon Date Dressing and has had it every night for the last six months. We rarely eat meat and don’t miss it.
Breakfast is oat bran or a smoothie with kale, flax seeds. We both feel better, are "regular" which, with a tricky vagus nerve, I am forever thankful. I have a copy of Eat To Live in my kitchen and take it to the grocery store when I shop. Very happy with the diet. Feel better and always tune in when the good doctor is on. Thank you.
