Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

My wife and I watched Dr. Fuhrman’s PBS special Eat to Live in 2016 and were both convinced that a Nutritarian way of eating was important to improve and sustain our health. We improved our diet after watching the special, but needed motivation to make more consistent changes. We attended Dr. Fuhrman's Heart Healthy event on July 22, 2017. Seeing Dr. Fuhrman in person was very motivating. After that, I immediately followed a Nutritarian diet. Prior to making dietary changes I was taking Pepcid 1 to 2 times a day for heartburn. Within 2 to 3 days I no longer needed to take Pepcid. That was amazing!
I also had been taking a statin for cholesterol. I had to stop taking the statin because it was negatively affecting my liver function lab values. I'm not sure of the time frame, but with my wife's urging, I had lab work done within that year. My cholesterol was within normal limits! My liver functions were back to normal and I lost 55 pounds! We attending the taping for Dr. Fuhrman's new PBS special taping because we need renewed motivation to stay on track.
