Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Realizing being diabetic and overweight put him on the fast track to disaster, Darrell lost 37 pounds and is no longer diabetic
I weighed 214 pounds, was out of shape, had a 44-inch waist and a BMI of 33.5 I regularly ate meat, eggs, cheese, and refined foods. My cholesterol was 293, triglycerides’ 221, A1C 12.4, HDL 48, LDL 201. Realizing I had diabetes and knowing the potential complications inherent with it, and also being aware of the increased risk of stroke and heart attack related to my weight, I started following the Eat To Live plan.
After three months, my weight was 184 pounds, waist 38, cholesterol 176, triglycerides 81, HDL 54, LDL 106, A1C 6.6, FBS 84. I began walking one hour daily, and swimming one hour twice weekly. In April 2016, I stopped Metformin for diabetes. Now I have great stamina, don't get out of breath, and never get headaches. I enjoy the food and plan to remain on this lifestyle from now on.
