Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Forty pounds lighter in just two months Jeff no longer suffers from atrial fibrillation or uncontrolled high blood pressure
The past two months have been incredible. At the start of Dr. Fuhrman's program, I weighed 335 pounds with blood pressure around 160/110 which required several blood pressure medications. I was barely fitting into my 52 inch waist pants. My cardiologist told me I had developed atrial fibrillation, probably due to severe obstructive sleep apnea.
I read Eat To Live and started on the program. Two months later I lost 40 pounds and four inches off my waist. My blood pressure is under control and my atrial fibrillation is gone. The good news is that it has been nearly effortless. I tried to do this last year, but my energy levels sagged so badly in the third week that I gave up. This year, having read the book, I knew that the sagging would only be temporary, and probably wasn't even due to hunger, so I kept going.
My goal is to continue to eat this way for the rest of my life and to be off all medication by the end of the year. I still have a way to go, but know how to get there. It is not exaggerating to say that Dr. Fuhrman saved my life.
