Joyce is free of daily rheumatism flare-ups
In January 2011 I went to see my doctor for severe pain caused by palindromic rheumatism. While waiting to be examined I noticed Dr. Fuhrman's book Eat To Live and read through some of the pages. When the doctor came into the room I told him I thought I could probably follow the diet and he told me to take the book. I was shocked that he would give it to me, but he felt so strongly that it would help and insisted that I take it.
I went to the grocery store the next day to buy the groceries I needed and started the plan immediately. At that time, I was having arthritis flare-ups daily and my flare-ups subsided almost immediately. I had a mere four flare-ups from January to June and only one from June to December. I began to lose weight immediately. I lost over a pound a day for the first two weeks. I continued to lose weight consistently, but not as rapidly. I began my weight loss journey at nearly 190 pounds and am now comfortably at 140 pounds. I have gone from a size 16 to a size 8 and haven’t felt this good since my initial diagnosis several years ago. This before picture was at my parent's 50th anniversary reception in July 2010 and the after picture was taken in September of 2011, eight months after reading and following the Eat To Live Plan.
I wish to thank my doctor for offering me the plan that has changed my life. I also want to thank Dr. Fuhrman for his amazing book. I wish the best for each of them on their continued journey to good health.
