Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.

Joyce lost 27 pounds and was delighted to have lowered her cholesterol and blood pressure
I started the Eat To Live journey with a desire to lose weight, and I have lost some, not as much as I wish yet. But there are some numbers that are just far more important than those on the scale. When I had my last cholesterol panel last fall, I was not happy with the results. I also wasn’t eating to live. I didn’t start that journey in earnest until mid-February. So today, knowing I had another round of tests. I was so nervous. I wanted this to be working. I wanted to be right about what I am doing for my health, and yes, it’s become more health centered.
Here are the results: cholesterol 159 (was 231), LDL 120 (was 144), and HDL 52, Triglycerides 89 (was 166). In addition, my blood pressure this morning was 109/55, and an hour later, was 119/72. In December, when I visited the doctor, the lowest it would go was 152/90 and that was after an initial reading of 194/111.
This is amazing to me, and I couldn’t be happier to have chosen this way of life.
