Sharon beat breast cancer twice and lost 60 pounds
In 2015 I went to my primary care physician and he gave me Dr. Fuhrman’s book Eat to Live. He said I needed this book because of my weight and my diagnosis of lupus. I read the book, and took the 6 -week challenge. I loved the food, and the weight did come off. My husband, Ed, joined me on this diet two years later when he developed gout. He also submitted his success story.
I have had breast cancer twice, two different types, one on 2006 and the other in 2016. I was told that this could be due to Lynch Syndrome, an inherited cancer gene which I have tested positive for. I refused chemotherapy. In one of Dr. Fuhrman's talks, he mentioned that aromatase inhibitors could be found in mushrooms. We have been eating mushrooms daily since then. I brought this information to my doctor and he was unaware of it, but thanked me for bring it to his attention.
Breast cancer gone, breast cancer from 2016 gone, no indications of cancer. Since the cancer was estrogen positive, my doctor prescribed aromatase inhibitors. I was allergic to them. My last test for cancer antigens was in July 2019, showing no sign of cancer.
I lost 60 pounds, have so much energy, my friends keep telling me to slow down. One of them said, " I want to know where you get all that energy." When I was heavy, I would take a nap every afternoon, I just couldn't get through the day without it. Thank you, Dr. Fuhrman, so much for your teachings, your books, videos and recipes. I don't know where I would be without them.
