Many individuals who follow the Nutritarian diet write to Dr. Fuhrman about their success. Keep in mind that results vary from person to person. As always, consult your physician if you have a medical history and/or condition that may warrant individual recommendations.
Lennie lost an amazing 172 pounds, has kept it off for years, swims every day and at the age of 68 she has a "wonderful life"
I had gastric bypass in 2000.when I weighed 300 pounds and only lost 50 pounds because they put me on the Atkins diet. Four years later I read Eat to Live. I very happily followed it and was very satisfied and lost over 100 pounds. I now weigh 128 pounds and went from a size 24 down to a size 4. I swam every day and have not gained a pound back. I have made it my lifestyle. I eat a little dairy and a little animal protein, but not in my home. I have type 2 diabetes and the change is that many years ago I went from 4 shots of insulin a day down to 1500 of metformin. I was also diagnosed (before I had the gastric bypass) with non-alcoholic steato hepatitis and was told I had one year to live with no cure. Would you believe losing all that fat and weight I regenerated my liver and have been cured and have had continuous perfect enzyme levels.
Still here 18 years after the diagnosis and going for more. I am 68 years old and have a wonderful life. I have given your book to several people but I get so many questions and opinions that sometimes it is too much energy. I refer them to your talks on U Tube.
Your plan has saved my life and I am very proud of myself. You have motivated me and I have proof of my commitment and perseverance. Thank you so very much. In the Jewish religion the Torah says you save one life you save the world!
